Privacy policy attorney-review draft.

This draft describes the personal information WBMJ expects to collect and use to operate the marketplace. It should be approved by qualified counsel before public launch.

Who operates WBMJ

WBMJ, short for WannaBuyMyJunk.com, is operated by OC Services Inc. in Union County, Arkansas. Privacy requests may be sent through the contact page or to the operator contact addresses maintained in the legal policy packet.

Information we collect

WBMJ may collect account information such as email address, display name, role, seller group, login/session details, authentication records, account status, preferences, and support history.

Marketplace information may include listings, descriptions, prices, categories, condition notes, location or service area, uploaded photos, listing assets, saved searches, views, checkout attempts, messages or support evidence if enabled, reports, moderation decisions, and activity/audit logs.

Technical information may include cookies, session identifiers, CSRF tokens, IP address, browser and device data, request logs, error logs, page and feature usage, security signals, and approximate location derived from user-provided listing or service-area details.

Seller and shipping information may include store profile details, business or return/review addresses, shipping defaults, tracking numbers, carrier information, payout-readiness status, Stripe connected-account identifiers, refund/dispute records, and transaction snapshots.

AI and import information may include prompts, AI-generated drafts, seller approvals, import-source metadata, pasted or uploaded import content, reviewed import output, provenance records, and safety flags. Payment card details are handled by Stripe or the approved payment provider and are not stored by WBMJ.

How we use information

WBMJ uses information to create and display listings, authenticate users, operate seller plans, process eligible checkout, support shipping and payouts, review disputes, detect fraud and prohibited items, moderate content, generate AI drafts, run import jobs, maintain audit records, respond to support requests, improve marketplace quality, and meet legal, tax, accounting, security, and compliance obligations.

Service providers and disclosures

WBMJ may share information with service providers that help operate the site, including hosting, database, email, AI, analytics, payment, fraud-prevention, shipping, storage, security, legal, accounting, and support providers. These providers may process information only as needed to perform their services or comply with law.

WBMJ may disclose information when needed to complete a transaction, resolve a dispute, process a refund or payout, respond to lawful requests, enforce policies, protect users or the site, prevent fraud, address security incidents, or transfer operations as part of a business transaction.

Security and Arkansas breach notice

WBMJ uses administrative, technical, and operational safeguards appropriate for a beta marketplace, including access controls, audit logs, CSRF protections, rate limits, moderation workflows, and malware-scan hooks for uploaded assets. During beta, public upload assets are stored in the current Postgres-backed storage system. Production S3-compatible object storage and external malware scanning remain a product hold for the end-of-beta production run.

If WBMJ determines that a security incident requires notice under Arkansas personal-information protection law or another applicable law, WBMJ will provide required notices to affected users, regulators, consumer reporting agencies, or other parties as required after investigation and counsel review.

User choices and requests

Users may request access, export, correction, or deletion of account information. WBMJ may verify identity before fulfilling a request and may retain records required for fraud prevention, payment disputes, tax, accounting, legal claims, security, audit, or marketplace integrity.

Signed-in users may use the account page to download a JSON export or request account closure during beta.

Sellers may enable or disable supported import sources where available. Users may stop using the site or request account closure, subject to any records WBMJ must preserve.

Retention, children, and updates

WBMJ keeps information for as long as needed to operate the marketplace and preserve payment, dispute, fraud, safety, tax, accounting, audit, and legal records. Deleted listings or closed accounts may still have retained transaction snapshots, security logs, or dispute records where permitted or required.

WBMJ is not intended for children under 13. The policy may be updated as the service, seller groups, payment flows, storage architecture, or legal requirements change. Material updates should be reviewed and approved before public use.
